Just discovered your show, and it's not the usual milquetoast so-called progressive podcast. Pro-Dean, pro-skepticism, pro-Tarpley, anti-DLC, anti-Lieberman... where has this podcast been my whole life?

Please guys, watch your stereotypes about the midwest. They are not up to date at all. Nancy Pelosi is against impeachment and she is from the west coast, Howard Dean and Rahm Emmanuel are from the east and they are all against impeachment. "Impeachforpeace.org" is from the midwest. (Minnesota) There are impeachment chapters in every midwestern state as far as I know. There are TONS of liberals in the midwest. There is no need to insult people in the midwest for the Democrat's problems. It's the Washington D.C. Democrats who are the problem and they don't listen to us.

Brian, I just tripped across your show while searching for some key word on podcasts.yahoo.com. I've already recommended you to my brother. However, I don't know any liberals or progressives in my personal life.

Shelly, I think when we used the term "midwest", in our minds we were thinking Iowa, Nebraska, etc.But your right it's always a good idea to be mindful of stereotyping.
In my mind the Minnesota, Wisconsin area has been a bastion of progressivism
(I think I just made up a new word),
Madison could be in the running for the progressive capitol of the world.
But thanks for reminding us that we should make an effort to not over generalize.
I am surrounded by Republicans in my neighborhood for instance, so you wouldn't know you were in "the liberal northeast" from my neighborhood.

Thanks for recommending us to your brother, but more importantly you need to find some like-minded people where you live. I assure you they are there, but in these dark times they don't readily reveal themselves. I'll bet if you broached your political thoughts with some you'd find out that they are all around you. Don't give in to fear.
When they cart all of us away for speaking our mind, then maybe it's time to reassess. Until then speak your mind.
