Hey guys, Nancy is right, Hillary said her vote to authorize military action against Iraq was wrong, and then she did exactly the same thing with the Lieberman-Kyl amendment on Iran. It wasn't exactly the same type of authorization, but she voted for combat action and declared the country of Iran terrorists, by declaring their military terrorists, which means Bush can do whatever he wants to. Her 2nd vote declaring the official military of Iran a terrorist organization means the Iraq war authorization is now in effect for Iran.

In other words, the Senate just authorized war with Iran last week and Hillary voted for it. There's no other way to see that vote. So when she says her vote for authorization was a mistake or whatever she said, we now know she doesn't really feel that way. She just did the same thing again, in fact, she reinforced her first vote because they are similar declarations that a country supports terrorism and therefore we can take action including force.
She did it again!

Hillary has also said nothing was off the table regarding Iran. You could not pay me to support Hillary for anything that requires being honest with the us. For some reason she's doing exactly what Joe Lieberman wants her to do.

Nancy is right. Thank you, Nancy.

I do not understand those who are splitting hairs regarding what Hillary meant by her vote. Because the Neocons will not split those hairs about what Hillary meant. So what does it matter what Hillary really meant? She voted for the attack on Iran.

I do not understand those who imply Hillary would not bomb Iran. Hillary knows what she's voting for, and she knows how the Neocons will implement her vote.

In effect, Hillary's vote is defensive. (Such leadership.) When the Neocons bomb Iran, Hillary will maintain that she never intended for her vote to be used that way.

But Hillary knew how her vote would be used. And Hillary knew about the innocent Iranians who would be slaughtered in the millions. In her name.

Hillary's vote is TANTAMOUNT to aiding and abetting the Neocons.

It makes me ill to see what Hillary did.

But it makes me twice as ill to hear the majority of WakeupAM defend Hillary or split hairs to explain her vote.

If not for Nancy, I would cease listening entirely. I can't bear yet another Vichy Apologia source, podcast or otherwise. Enough.

Hey Shelly and Expat84,
Thanks for your comments. Brian and I actually agree about Hillary so I guess Wakeup is somewhat split. Although, neither Kathy or Meg are supporting Hillary at this point.

I've always felt that Hillary was a true Hawk and I've heard her say that nukes are not off the table when it comes to Iran. I'm just tired by all this saber rattling - if that's what you want to call it. I'm tired of listening to all these people running for office who feel the need to act "tough". I'm also really fed up with the whole "War on Terror"! It's just a way to keep us all afraid and a diversion away from what's really going on. Our rights are slowly slipping away while we fight this "War on Terror". While we're at it, why don't we start a War on Sadness, and a War on Anxiety...it's all so ridiculous and yet most of the country hops on this bandwagon!

We're all a team here at Wakeup and without each voice I don't think we'd be what we are! But thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone in my thinking!

Onward...
Nancy
