I wrote this as a comment over at Citizen Against Lies, but I believe this is important enough to copy here:

I believe we need at least one massive march on Washington, D.C., while Bush and Congress are in town. Everyone from MoveOn to the Raging Grannies to you and I need to band together for such a march, before midterm elections.

Such a thing has worked in the past to effect real change when we, the people, were faced with the institutionalized oppression and abuse of a downright evil ruling class...

It can work again. The act of calling our congresspeople has failed, as have efforts at the polls. Nonviolent resistance, civil disobedience, and most of all, massive marches on the places where our politicians sit are the order of the day.

Let's be good citizens, at long last. Let's fill Washington, D.C. with our bodies, our voices, and our ideas until no room is left for the hypocrisy and inhumanity of these Republican and Democratic torturers, murderers, and thieves.
